House to start with DoD amendments to FY 2011 bill

By Pete Kasperowicz - 02/15/11 12:56 PM ET

When the House reconvenes at noon Tuesday, it will adopt a rule for considering H.R. 1, the FY 2011 spending bill, and then hold one hour of debate. After that, it will begin to consider the more than 400 amendments to the bill, starting with amendments relating to the Defense Department.

After that, amendments to general provisions will be taken up. Then, amendments affecting House Appropriations subcommittees will be examined, in alphabetical order by subcommittee. In rough order, that is Agriculture, Commerce/Justice, Energy, Financial Services, Homeland Security, Interior, Labor, State and Transportation.

Funding limitation amendments (of which there are many) will be considered at the end of the process.
