House in pro-forma session Sunday, but Cantor says be ready

The House adjourned after rejecting the Senate Democratic debt ceiling plan in a 173-246 vote. With that vote and House passage of a Republican plan Friday, much of the pressure is on the Senate to pass something that it can use to reach a compromise with the House before Tuesday. Without Senate passage of any plan, the House is perceived as having an advantage in the last-minute talks.

Cantor also said the House would be in session Monday and that first votes would be at noon, but he did not say what bills might be up for a vote.
