

House approves Churchill bust bill after debating other suspensions
The House on Monday evening voted by unanimous consent in favor of H.Res. 497, which would commission the placement of a bust of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in the Capitol.
The House adjourned moments after that vote, and members gave no sign as to when votes on the payroll tax bill might take place tonight. House Republicans are expected to caucus at 6 p.m. to discuss how to handle the payroll tax issue.
Members also debating the following non-controversial bills, with votes to follow at 6:30 p.m.:
The Senate amendment to H.R. 2056, to instruct the Inspector General of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to study the impact of insured depository institution failures;
The Senate amendment to H.R. 1801, the Risk-Based Security Screening for Members of the Armed Forces Act;
The Senate amendment to H.R. 1059, to protect the safety of judges by extending the authority of the Judicial Conference to redact sensitive information contained in their financial disclosure reports, and;
The Senate amendment to H.R. 515, the Belarus Democracy and Human Rights Act.
