Ros-Lehtinen warns against Iran's interest in Ecuador's uranium

"Both regimes have entered into numerous economic and political ventures, and I am gravely concerned that Ecuador is solidifying its status as a willing accomplice to an Iranian agenda focused on harming the United States, our interests, and our allies. The United States must look closely at this unabashed cooperation and address Correa's potential role in assisting Iran’s nuclear ambition."

On Wednesday, Ros-Lehtinen said Ahmadinejad's visit to Cuba shows the links between Cuba and Iran are growing, and said both countries are state sponsors of terrorism.

On Tuesday, she blasted the Iranian leader's visit to Nicaragua to attend the inauguration of Daniel Ortega, and on Monday she noted that Ahmadinejad's first stop on his "tour of tyrants" was to Venezuela, where he met with Hugo Chavez.
