House adjourns for the week, resumes work Tuesday

By Pete Kasperowicz - 02/09/12 03:18 PM ET

The House adjourned at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon, and will not resume legislative work until next Tuesday.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said today that the House next week would take up H.R. 7, the American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs act. Cantor also said the House could also consider a conference report to H.R. 3630, the payroll tax holiday extension bill, although that will depend on the progress made by House and Senate conferees to the bill.

The House will convene briefly on Monday at 1 p.m. for a pro forma session, but no work is scheduled for Monday.
