House approves freezer, energy, drug theft bills
The House was spending much of Tuesday afternoon debating bills naming post offices, but along the way approved three bills by voice vote.
Members were expected to gather at 6:30 p.m. to hold roll call votes on the post office bills and other bills debated today. But by voice vote, the House approved:
H.R. 4850, the Enabling Energy Saving Innovations Act, which would ease federal rules requiring walk-in freezers to be made with certain insulation;
H.R. 5625, the Collinsville Renewable Energy Promotion Act, reinstating licenses for renewable energy projects in Connecticut, and;
H.R. 4223, the Safe Doses Act, boosting penalties against people who steal pharmaceuticals.
Senate Amendment to H.R. 2297, to promote the development of the Southwest waterfront in the District of Columbia, and for other purposes.
