House to explore Financial Stability Oversight Council's annual report
The House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday to hear the annual report of the Financial Stability Oversight Council.
The Council, created under the Dodd-Frank financial reform law, released its 2012 annual report on Wednesday. The report found the U.S. financial system has rebounded since 2009, but still faces challenges due to stress in Europe.
It also said federal regulators should continue to pursue reforms so the U.S. financial system can survive potential threats from Europe and the United States.
