Easy Monday: NDAA in the Senate, one suspension bill in the House

By Pete Kasperowicz - 12/03/12 09:48 AM ET

The Senate meets at 2 p.m. to resume work on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), S. 3254.

Senators voted on several amendments to this bill last week, and seem to be putting themselves in a position to approve the measure this week. A vote to end debate on the bill is expected at around 6 p.m.

Just before that vote, senators will vote on the nomination of Paul Grimm to be a U.S. district judge for Maryland.

The House meets at noon for speeches, and then again at 2 p.m. for work on one suspension bill, H.R. 5817, the Eliminate Privacy Notice Confusion Act. This bill would relax current requirements on banks to publish annual privacy policy notices, and would only require banks to notify customers when there is a change in their privacy policy.

No roll-call votes are planned in the House, but members could approve H.R. 5817 by voice vote.
