The resolutions condemns the Dec. 14 shooting, which killed 26 people, including 20 children, at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

"[T]he people of the United States will always remember the victims of the previous mass shootings that have occurred in the United States and stand in solidarity with the survivors," it reads.

It also praises the actions of the first responders on the scene, as well as the teachers and other staff who offered help.
