Committees to probe Obama administration's sequester decisions

Two House committees will meet next week to consider how the Obama administration has decided to cut the $85 billion in spending as required by the sequester.

On Thursday, the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee will meet in a hearing called "Sequestration Oversight: Understanding the Administration's Decisions on Spending Cuts and Furloughs."

The day before, a House Armed Services subcommittee will examine how the sequester is affecting military operations.

Elsewhere, a House Energy & Commerce subcommittee will meet Wednesday to examine "Obamacare's Impact on Jobs." That hearing comes a week after the Federal Reserve reported that companies across the country are planning to slow hiring because of the 2010 healthcare law.
