"In barely four years in office, five jihadists have reached their targets in the United States under Barack Obama — the Boston Marathon bomber; the underwear bomber; the Times Square bomber; the Fort Hood shooter; and in my own state, the Little Rock recruiting office shooter.
"We need to ask why is the Obama administration failing in its mission to stop terrorism before it reaches its targets in the United States?" Cotton added.
Cotton's remarks came in the midst of ongoing GOP complaints about Obama's commitment to national security. Earlier this week, House Republicans released a report blaming former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the death of four Americans in last year's attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
On Wednesday, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said his committee would hold another hearing on the Benghazi attacks next month.
