The Committee was expected to write a rule or rules for all five of these resolutions this morning, allowing them to come up on the House floor any time this week.

The resolutions are part of the GOP leadership's plan to pass piecemeal spending bills and send them to the Senate, in the hopes that some portions of the government can be spared the ongoing government shutdown.

However, Democrats have insisted that the House send back a "clean" continuing resolution for the entire government, one that does not include any language to undermine ObamaCare. For that reason, the Senate is expected to reject any smaller spending resolutions passed by the House.
