The House is expected to be in this coming weekend to vote on more "mini" spending bills. As early as today, the House could vote on a bill allowing the government to borrow above the current debt-ceiling limit for six weeks, in the hopes of negotiating a longer-term deal later.

The Senate is also expected to be in this weekend to hold procedural votes on a bill allowing the government to borrow above the current debt ceiling through 2014.
