Featured upcoming House committee hearings

The House will stage hearings next week on several issues sure to generate controversy, including the exploration of a possible link between government-sponsored broadcasting and terrorism and improving the bullion coin programs of the U.S. Mint.

Some of next week's highlights: 

Committee on Education and the Workforce

April 6, "Streamlining Federal Education and Workforce Programs: A look at the GAO Report on Government Waste." 10 a.m., 2175 Rayburn House Office Building.

Committee on Financial Services

April 7, “Bullion Coin Programs of the United States Mint: Can They Be Improved?” 10 a.m., 2128 Rayburn House Office Building.

Committee on Foreign Affairs

April 6, “Is America’s Overseas Broadcasting Undermining our National Interest and the Fight Against Tyrannical Regimes?” 10 a.m., 2200 Rayburn House Office Building.

April 6, “Financial Hardball: Corralling Terrorists and Proliferators Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade.” 2 p.m., 2128 Rayburn House Office Building.

April 7, “Reforming the United Nations: The Future of U.S. Policy Full Committee” 10 a.m., 2172 Rayburn House Office Building.
