Libyan government passed a budget while Senate Dems cannot, says Cantor's office

"It appears as though even the Libyan Government can do something Senate Democrats haven’t been able to do for 777 days – pass a budget,” said the email sent out by Brian Patrick, a top Cantor aide.

"Leader [Harry] Reid and Senator [Chuck] Schumer must be so proud," said the email.

It then went on to quote a story published by Reuters entitled “Libyan Government Approves $31.4 Billion For 2011 Budget.”

The Reuter’s article did suggest, however, that the budget  was passed by the Libyan government in part to convince the world that the besieged nation is operating normally.
