Senate panels to examine cybersecurity after hack attacks

The Senate Judiciary and Banking Committees will each hold a hearing on this issue on June 21.

In other committee action, the Senate Banking Committee will consider reauthorizing the National Flood Insurance Program, even as waters continue to rise in different regions of the country. 

Early in the week, senators will hike across the Capitol to meet with their House colleagues to consider spending reduction as part of the work of the Joint Economic Committee.
