Schumer: Obama’s tax-hike threshold too low for New Yorkers

“Two-hundred-and-fifty-thousand dollars makes you really rich in Mississippi but it doesn’t make you rich at all in New York, and there ought to be some kind of scale based on the cost of living on how much you pay,” Schumer told Channel 2’s Marcia Kramer.

The White House’s jobs plan, which president Obama laid out in detail in press conference Monday morning, would end Bush tax cuts on couples making more than $250,000 a year and establish a minimum tax on millionaires.
