Senate moves to debate on Bryson confirmation

The Senate late on Thursday began debate on whether or not to confirm John Bryson, President Obama's controversial nominee to be the next secretary of Commerce.

Under the rule, four hours of debate is guaranteed; however Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said from the floor he hopes time will be yielded back in order to allow a 6:30 p.m. vote.
