The Senate released its 2014 calendar Thursday.

The second session of the 113th Congress will start on Monday, Jan. 6, for the Senate.

The calendar seems to be a usual year, with the Senate taking off the whole week of most major holidays.

Because it is an election year, the legislative agenda is expected to be light even when the Senate is in session.

Here is a list of the weeks senators will be working in their home states:

- Jan. 20–24 — Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday is Jan. 20.

- Feb. 17–21 — Presidents’ Day is Feb. 17.

- March 17–21.

- April 14–25 — Passover begins April 15; Good Friday is April 18; and Easter is April 20.

- May 26–May 30 — Memorial Day is May 26.

- June 30–July 4 — Independence Day is July 4.

- Aug. 4–Sep. 5 — Labor Day: Sept. 1.
