Senate confirms executive nominees

The Senate voted Wednesday to confirm four of President Obama’s executive branch nominees.

All four were confirmed by voice-vote.

A list of the nominees and their new titles follows:

- Heather MacDougall, a member of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.

- France Cordova, director of the National Science Foundation.

- James Shelton, deputy secretary of the Department of Education.

- Bruce Heyman, U.S. ambassador to Canada.
