Senate clears DHS undersecretary nominees

The Senate voted to confirm three of President Obama’s executive branch nominees by voice-vote Monday.

Francis Taylor was confirmed to be Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis, Department of Homeland Security.

L. Reginald Brothers, Jr., was confirmed to be Under Secretary for Science and Technology, Department of Homeland Security.

The Senate also approved the nomination of Mark Childress to be U.S. ambassador to Tanzania.
