Senate to vote on FAA conference report next week
Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced Thursday night that the Senate will take up the conference report on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funding bill when it returns on Monday.
Reid said that after emerging from conference with the GOP-controlled House the bill was not perfect, but nonetheless critical.
"People worked extremely hard on this," said Reid. "This is not a perfect piece of legislation, no, it isn't but we have not had an FAA bill since 2003... I repeat, this bill is not perfect but it's something that is extremely important for job creation and for making our airports more safe."
The Senate will return at 2 p.m. on Monday and that vote will take place at 5:30 p.m.
