Reid admits to watching Miss USA pageant

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said that while channel surfing last night, he stopped to watch part of the Miss USA contest.

He said he was “disappointed that I caved in” and changed the channel before the end of the event because Miss Nevada — Nia Sanchez — won.

On the Senate floor Monday, Reid said he was impressed by Sanchez’s story particularly that she was homeless for a period of time.
