Monday: Senate to advance judicial nominations

The Senate starts at 2 p.m. and will vote at 5:30 p.m. to advance three of President Obama's judicial nominees.

The votes to end debate are on the nominations of Salvador Mendoza to be U.S. District Judge for Eastern Washington, Staci Yandle to be U.S. District Judge for Southern Illinois, and Darrin Gayles to be U.S. District Judge for Southern Florida.

If cloture is invoked on the nominees, final confirmation votes will be held Tuesday morning.

The House is not in session on Monday, but will resume work on Tuesday.
