Tuesday: A judge and three post offices

By Pete Kasperowicz - 02/14/12 09:35 AM ET

The Senate meets at 10 a.m. for speeches, then at 11 a.m. will continue consideration of Adalberto Jordan's nomination to be a U.S. Circuit Court judge for the Eleventh Circuit. The Senate approved a motion to invoke cloture on the Jordan nomination on Monday night, by a 89-5 vote.

The Senate will break as usual today for the Tuesday caucus lunches, but after that could resume consideration of the Senate transportation bill, S. 1813.

The House returns at noon for speeches, then at 2 p.m. for legislative work. But the House is only considering three bills today that would name post offices in Missouri and New York: H.R. 2079, H.R. 3247, and H.R. 3248.

Votes on these bills are expected at 6:30 p.m.
