God controls the climate, not humans, suggests Sen. Inhofe

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) quoted Scripture in a recent radio interview to refute global warming theory, the liberal blog Think Progress reported on Monday. 

"Genesis 8:22 that I use there is that 'as long as the earth remains there will be springtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night,' " said Inhofe, pointing to Scripture cited in a passage from his latest book, The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future.

"My point is, God’s still up there," continued the senior senator from Oklahoma in the interview with Voice of Christian Youth America. "The arrogance of people to think that we, human beings, would be able to change what he is doing in the climate is, to me, outrageous."

Inhofe, the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, believes that global warming is a "hoax" and is one of its most outspoken and active opponents of climate regulations in the Senate.
