By Josiah Ryan - 03/27/12 05:51 PM ET

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed cloture on a bill containing the so-called "Buffett Rule on Tuesday," in likely in preperation for Tax Day on April 15, when Democrat leaders say they will try to force a vote on the legislaiton.

The bill, nick-named after after billionaire investor Warren Buffett who once famously claimed that his personal secretary pays a lower tax rate than he does, would ensure that millionaires who earn money from capital gains pay at least a 30 percent federal tax-rate.
