Monday: Nomination, cybersecurity in the Senate

By Pete Kasperowicz - 07/30/12 08:34 AM ET

The Senate reconvenes at 2 p.m., and at 4:30 p.m. will start debate on the nomination of Robert Bacharach to be a U.S. circuit judge for the 10th Circuit. A vote to end debate on the nomination is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., although this might turn into a vote on the nomination itself.

After that, the Senate is expected to adopt a motion to proceed to S. 3414, the Cybersecurity Act, which will allow the Senate to continue to work on this bill throughout the week.

Other than a brief pro-forma session at 2 p.m., the House is out Monday and returns Tuesday.
