Senate light on hearings, will take up veterans’ jobs bill

The Senate will also resume debate on the Veterans Jobs Corps Act. Reid is expected to file a motion to end debate and proceed to S. 3457 Tuesday around 2:15 p.m.

Nothing else is on the docket for now, but the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee and the Senate Environment and Public Works will take on nuclear regulations and waste.

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hear testimony on S. 3469, the Nuclear Waste Administration Act of 2012 on Wednesday. The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will examine if the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is enhancing reactor safety later that same morning.
