Barrasso claims Obama is moving country backward not forward

Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said President Obama isn’t moving the country “Forward,” which is Obama’s reelection campaign theme.

“The president talks about moving forward but the truth is the American paycheck is moving backward,” Barrasso said on the Senate floor Thursday. “We’re not better off than we were last year or the year before that.”

Barrasso criticized Obama’s record on jobs and spending.

“This is not about the economy we wished we had or the economy we used to have,” Barrasso said. “It’s about the economy we have today — it’s about reality.

“Instead of giving President Obama four more years … it is time for change.”
