The House meets at noon for speeches, and then will start work on two very technical suspension bills in the afternoon.

One is H.R. 1067, which would update portions of U.S. law regarding patriotic and national observances and ceremonies.

The other is H.R. 1068, which would update U.S. law relating to practices within the National Park System. If you must know, the bill takes portions of U.S. law dealing with the management of the National Park System that are spread throughout title 16 of U.S. code, and puts them all into one place within title 16. It also restates the Park Service provisions as a new "positive law title" in the U.S. code.

Any roll call votes on these suspension bills will need a two-thirds majority to pass, and will take place at 6:30 p.m.
