“I am happy that [Obama] sent her name up to the Senate and that the [Judiciary] Committee has unanimously recommended her for nomination,” Landrieu said ahead of the vote. “She brings with her years of experience.”

Landrieu added that Dick would be the first woman to serve on the Middle District of Louisiana, saying it’s “high time.”
