Secretary of State John Kerry has extended his diplomatic mission to the Middle East for a day, fueling speculation he's moving towards a revival of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
Kerry spent the day meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Jordan and had a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, according to Bloomberg
While officials from the United States have not yet confirmed the prospect, extending his visit has been seen as a sign that the initial efforts towards bringing the two nations together for talks have been fruitful.
Asked by a reporter whether he had made progress on the trip, Kerry said only that he was "working hard."
Kerry is still slated to fly to Brunei on Sunday for a meeting with foreign ministers.
