The House voted Tuesday to condemn Russia for using military force to secure Ukraine's Crimean peninsula, which may soon become a part of Russia.
The House on Tuesday is expected to formally condemn Russia for its military action in the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine, less than a week after passing a bill giving financial aid to Ukraine.
The visit “will highlight the strong support of the United States," the White House said.
The former national security advisor warned standoff with Putin could spiral out of control.
Ryan also proposed expanding energy exports to loosen Russia’s influence over Western Europe.
The Republican called for sanctions, military support and increased natural gas exports.
