News bites: Strategies abound ahead of healthcare ruling, and more

Republicans and Democrats in Congress are preparing to respond to the Supreme Court's looming decision on healthcare reform. The New York Times has more.

Nearly half of Americans did not receive routine preventive healthcare services before 2010, according to researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Los Angeles Times has the story.

Senators criticized waste in Medicaid anti-fraud programs during a hearing Thursday, Modern Healthcare (registration required) reports.

Independent pharmacies are worrying that changes to Medicaid are allowing chains like CVS Caremark to expand at their expense, The New York Times reports.
