News bites: Whistleblowers fight fraud, medicating rebels, and more

Whistleblowers are key in the fight against healthcare fraud, USA Today reports.

A panel of the Food and Drug Administration recommended approval of the weight-loss drug Qnexa despite concerns over its cardiovascular side effects, MedPage Today reports.

Older drivers are involved in a disproportionately high share of fatal automobile crashes, according to a new report from the transportation research group TRIP.
