NAACP convention to tackle health disparities

The head of the Environmental Protection Agency is scheduled to address an NAACP health symposium Saturday in Kansas City, Mo.
The forum, titled “Health is a Social Justice Issue — A True Civil Right,” will feature healthcare providers, faith leaders and government officials and will focus on strategies to create healthier communities and tackle childhood obesity.
EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson will address the health advocacy luncheon at noon.
