News bites: War on religion, fake drugs, and more

In the wake of the birth-control controversy, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops said it plans to work with evangelical Christians and other religious groups to rally Americans against government measures that they say intrude on religious liberty, Reuters reports.

The Wall Street Journal examines the growing problem of fake injectable drugs following this week's news about Avastin.

Arsenic has been found in foods that use organic brown rice syrup as a sweetener — including infant formula and cereal bars — reports Consumer Reports.

A study commissioned by the National Partnership for Women & Families found that an overwhelming majority of patients find value in electronic health records and other forms of health IT, even if privacy concerns persist.
