C-SPAN moves to bolster Twitter presence

As if another sign were necessary to illustrate that major media organizations are seeing value in Twitter, C-SPAN has provided one.

The news organization has teamed with bit.ly to create Web addresses for C-SPAN content. Look for cs.pn URLs to begin appearing on Twitter and Facebook.

The New York Times has a similar partnership with bit.ly, which helps users to fit long Web addresses onto platforms with character limits.
