Pundits fail to resolve net-neutrality debate

One of the pleasures denied people following the net neutrality debate is this: they rarely get to flip on the TV and see pundits having it out about the topic.

Talking heads who spend hours debating economic and social issues rarely venture into tech policy's most partisan and polarizing topic. In fact, the Pew Research Center found this year that only 2 percent of tech coverage is devoted to net neutrality.

But two ideological opposites paired up last week to prove that need not be so. Seton Motley, the president of the free-market organization Less Government, and Thom Hartmann, the left-leaning radio host, took on Internet traffic, cable-pundit-style. Yelling ensued. Snarky gifts exchanged hands. Common ground was not found.
