Net-neutrality advocates to get FCC's ear this week

Following a Federal Communications Commission meeting with phone and cable stakeholders Monday morning, net-neutrality proponents say they are also meeting with the chairman's office this week.

Multiple sources who support net neutrality said Monday that members of the Open Internet Coalition (OIC) are meeting with top aides to Chairman Julius Genachowski this week to discuss how the agency will proceed on its contentious net-neutrality proceeding.

The meetings come as analysts predict that the FCC with push forward with net neutrality in December. The FCC has not confirmed or denied that.

The FCC has tended to consult with OIC as a voice for net-neutrality advocates, including during stakeholder meetings in the summer.
