News bites: RIM top execs step down

The two co-chief executives at Research in Motion resigned on Sunday, The Wall Street Journal reports. The BlackBerry-maker has struggled to keep pace with Apple and Google.  

Analysts are wondering whether the the new RIM chief executive, Thorsten Heins, has been appointed to lead a turnaround or prepare the company to be sold, Reuters reports.

Megaupload.com founder Kim Dotcom sought bail in a New Zealand court on Sunday, Bloomberg reports.

The New York Times profiles Dotcom, who was born Kim Schmitz.
