News bites: Google implements new privacy policy

Google's new privacy policy went into effect on Thursday. The Los Angeles Times explains how users can still control their data

Netflix's contract with Starz expired, causing a big hit to its streaming catalog of movies, CNN reports.

Police in Colorado decrypted a defendant's laptop, avoiding a constitutional showdown over whether courts can force people to unlock their computers, Wired reports. 

Troubled wireless startup LightSquared is considering hiring Timothy Donahue, the former chief of Nextel, as its new CEO, Reuters reports.
