News bites: Feds threaten to sue Apple

The Justice Department warned Apple and five publishers that it plans to sue them for allegedly colluding to raise the price of e-books, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing anonymous sources. 

Netflix is involved in talks with cable companies to offers its video service as a direct competitor to HBO, The New York Times reports.

Facebook secured $8 billion in financing ahead of its initial public offering, Bloomberg reports.

In case you missed yesterday's big announcement, the new iPad will feature a high-resolution screen and a 4G wireless connection, The New York Times reports.
