News bites: Facebook adds more shares to IPO

By Andrew Feinberg - 05/16/12 09:10 AM ET

CNN reports that Facebook has increased the size of its Initial Public Offering by adding 25 percent more shares. The company is expected to begin trading on the open market Friday morning.

But The Wall Street Journal says General Motors has decided to pull its advertisements from the social-media site because they are ineffective.

The Journal also has a report that Apple is moving towards a larger screen for the next version of the iPhone.

Crates of HTC devices have apparently been delayed at U.S. Customs while alleged infringement of Apple's patents is investigated, reports The Verge.

And Ars Technica has the story of an alleged file sharer sued by the Recording Industry Association of America asking the Supreme Court to intervene in his case.
