YouTube to livestream conventions, presidential debates

By Sterling C. Beard - 08/22/12 12:19 PM ET

The video-sharing site YouTube is gearing up for the fall campaign with a new site that will livestream the nominating conventions for both political parties.

YouTube said the site will serve as a “one-stop channel for key political moments from now through the upcoming U.S. election day.”

The YouTube Elections Hub will have live feeds of the speeches from both the Republican and Democratic conventions, as well as coverage from media outlets like The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

The Hub will also feature video of the presidential debates and the vice presidential debate.

The site can be viewed here.
