News bites: Florida inventor takes on patent reform law

By Jennifer Martinez - 08/27/12 08:15 AM ET

A Florida inventor has filed suit against the U.S. government in hopes of overturning the patent reform law passed last year, The New York Times reports.

Apple's landmark patent suit victory over Samsung could make carriers and Google rethink their product design plans and strategies, according to The Wall Street Journal

Google attempted to distance itself from the Apple-Samsung patent suit in a statement released on Sunday, CNET says.

Microsoft and Nokia products could get a boost in sales after Samsung lost its patent battle against Apple, Bloomberg writes.
