News bites: Apple faces EU probe over warranty ads

The European Union Justice Commissioner said countries should investigate whether Apple failed to advertise buyers' right to a two-year warranty, Bloomberg reports.

Customers were frustrated last week when cyberattacks crashed major bank websites, The New York Times writes.  

Iran lifted restrictions on Gmail access, according to the BBC.
