News bites: Court lifts ban on Galaxy tablet

A U.S. court lifted a sales ban on Samsung's Galaxy tablet that had been won by Apple in a patent dispute, Reuters reports. 

Bloomberg reports that Samsung has claimed that Apple's iPhone 5 infringes on its patents.

The Wall Street Journal examines Facebook's new data collection and advertising practices.

The Seattle Police Department is using Twitter to report crimes, The New York Times explains.

USA Today writes that cable companies are turning to data caps to boost revenue.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev urged Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to open a research center in Moscow, according to the AP.
