News bites: Sprint might bid for MetroPCS

Sprint is considering competing with T-Mobile to buy MetroPCS, according to Bloomberg.

Google and book publishers have settled a lengthy copyright dispute, The Associated Press reports.

Dozens of lawsuits over Facebook's botched IPO will be heard in New York, Reuters writes. 

The New York Times reports that advertisers and privacy groups are at an impasse over "do not track."

Apple marks the one-year anniversary of Steve Jobs's death with a video and letter from CEO Tim Cook.
